Hunting Dogs

Above are three of my Hunting Dogs, 2x NFC Rocket – FC Amy – FC Kolby – Three of my top Shorthairs

My name is Cap Anderson. I raised and trained hunting dogs for years. German Shorthaired Pointers to be exact. I sold out in 2010 due to my sons illness. I got into website design back when I was raising GSPs. It always took my web guy forever to put up pictures of my puppies and make the changes I needed, so I learned how to do it my self. It took me awhile to catch on, but here I am. I designed this website because, I wanted a hunting dog website, that anyone can come to, whether you are new to hunting dogs or are just looking for that new best friend. I wanted information and pictures on all the different types of hunting dogs. I also wanted a list of bird dog breeders and trainers all on the same hunting dog website. Most websites out there will either have a list of hunting dogs and nothing else, or a list of gun dog breeders and nothing else. This website will have it all. I want to make it a one stop hunting dog site that is very easy to navigate. If you want to find a certain type of hunting dog and what makes them tick or a great bird dog breeder or trainer, you will find it here. My goal is to be one the top hunting dog information sites on the web.

German Shorthaired Pointer

This website is dedicated  to Hunting Dog enthusiast and anyone wanting to find  great hunting dogs.  It is an informational website about all different types of  hunting dog breeds. Hunting dogs, otherwise known as bird dogs, gun dogs, sporting dogs and hounds, are the kinds that are specifically developed to assist hunters in finding and retrieving wild game. Hunting dogs are some of the most popular parts of the gun dog world – they tend to be far more trained and “professional” than other dog breeds, and the breed of hunting dogs used is going to be absolutely vital to picking the right type of hunting dog for your own needs and requirements.  Not only are hunting dogs man’s best friend, they also make excellent hunting partners.  There are a variety of great hunting dogs out there.  For as long as anyone can remember, man has always done better in his pursuit of wild game with hunting dogs.  But which breed of hunting dogs are best, you ask.  That is a tough question to answer.

Black Labrador

Heated discussions will continue everywhere, on what hunting dog, bird dog , gun dog or hound dog will out perform the other.  There are so many variables when choosing hunting dogs.  For instance, types of game, type of terrain, weather, pointersflushers, retrievers, hound, gun dog breeders, pedigree, do they like water, who has the best nose, size of dog, long hair, short hair, family dog and then it will all come down to what hunting dogs looks good to your SPOUSE.  I hope this site helps you in your quest to find a great hunting dog.

Hound Dogs

We have a great list of different types of hunting dogs. Whether  you are looking for a Pointer, Flusher, Retriever or hound. There is a lot of  information and pictures about each breed of hunting dog. We have also  added Outfitters to this website. They are broke down into four categories, Upland Game Birds, Waterfowl, Big Game and Fishing outfitters. Read about the different types of outfitters and learn how they can help you with your hunting experience. I am now accepting advertisers. I hope you enjoy the different types of hunting dogs on this site.

Thanks and Happy Hunting
